Less than a year ago I was broke and about to lose my home. I was living in a challenging relationship, stressed with my job and felt pretty hopeless about my future. I almost decided to try to live with the situation, work to swallow my feelings of discontent and try to “accept my lot in life”.
Then, I came across a coach who inspired me to really visualize what I wanted in my life. She supported me in defining and imagining the life I wanted, helping me to find hope and confidence. I began to reimagine my life and took continuous small steps of inspired action. It all changed.
In a matter of months, my income tripled. I work less, I am doing what I love for a living, I invested in my home (and renovated my beach house), travel often, support my favorite charities, and really enjoy extra time with my son. I was so inspired by my coach, I decided to become one too. Almost all of the dreams I put together in the visioning I did with her have come to fruition. Really, in less than a year, it has all changed.
Just last week I was asked to present at a conference, as a person of hope and inspiration for my mentoring coaching organization. I am honored, grateful and moved beyond belief to have this opportunity. As an outgrowth of this gratitude, I want to help others dream and achieve.
If you are ready to reimagine and reclaim your life, I suggest that you follow the tips that turned it around for me:
Set Your Vision
Dream it and write it down, even do a vision board to get a mental picture of what you want. Hold the vision as your guide.
Take Small Steps
Make 12-month goals based on your vision. Thereafter, break the goals down into smaller goals that will allow you to get to your 12- month vision. Break them down further into 6- month, 90 days, 60 days and 30-day steps that will lead you to your 12-month vision.
Take Inspired Action
Your vision will guide you but taking action each day will move you quickly toward your vision and dreams. Think of your vision while taking action, feeling grateful that you are moving forward.
Connect with friends, family, and organizations who are positively focused and supportive. I strongly advise seeing out a coach to assist you in defining your vision, planning your direction, upgrading your skills, optimizing your environment and mastering your psychology. A coach provides individualized support, encouragement and a loving source of accountability.
Please don’t accept your “Lot in Life” you CAN live the life you dream of!
Cheering for your joy!
